Washington, DC

Client Profile:

In May 2016, the team behind DGS Delicatessen debuted a sustainably-sourced seafood restaurant in DC’s Navy Yard – a nod to childhood memories of crabbing on the Eastern Shore.

Scope of Work:

The DGS team tapped Streetsense to create an ocean-inspired interior highlighting a much anticipated raw bar. A 35-foot glass façade floods the 40-seat dining room with natural light and showcases a nautical mural filled with sea creatures. Showcasing a raised, 20-seat oyster bar as its centerpiece, the restaurant also features an outdoor patio, allowing diners to enjoy seafood towers while taking in views of the Anacostia River. The aquatic concept is rounded out by a restroom dotted with playful pufferfish.
